Villager locked trades without being traded with

A lectern was placed in front of the villager and then destroyed once it had become a librarian. Even though the villager was never traded with, it has stayed as a librarian and kept the trades after the lectern was broken. If I replace the lectern, the particle effects appear but nothing else happens, the trades remain the same. I’m pretty sure this is a bug.
