Non-functioning hunger and health bar occasionally appear on the screen when joining a Creative world

When a player joins a creative mode world, the game will * sometimes * render a health and hunger bar on the screen, however they are nonfunctional.
I have had this happen on a world, and now I cannot get rid of it, I've tried everything.
