Minecraft bedrock will not re-install on new launcher, or even work for that matter.

The new edition of the Minecraft launcher with this most recent update has rendered my bedrock absolutely useless. I have both java and Bedrock but all my friends have Bedrock for its easier multiplayer accessibility. I had attempted to use bedrock for multiplayer but it just had an error message basically telling me that it was an out-of-date ver. So I did what anyone would do and uninstalled it via the launcher to re-install it. This then lead to the launcher not working and not downloading the game again, staying on an unpressable play button and download button on the installation page. I looked onto the Microsoft store and this is a very common issue. I believe this has affected more players than I can imagine.
