Right movement button (mcpe) won’t work

Whenever I try pressing the right movement button on Minecraft Pocket Edition on my iPad, it only moves a few pixels, then starts interacting with the block under my crosshair. This issue only happens when walking, not while swimming or flying. I’ve tried changing the button sizes, thinking maybe it was just a small bug that needed to be reset, but that hasn’t worked either.
