Chest not opening on Boat with Chest

The chest on the boat with chest does not open. I can board the boat but I can’t open the chest no matter what type of boat it is (Oak birch spruce etc.) Please fix this soon so I can store my items in the chest when I venture out into the ocean with my boat.
