I want to toggle the inverted y-axis, but it will not work.

I have toggled the inverted y-axis on and off, refreshed Minecraft, shut down my phone, and even reinstalled the app, but the y-axis refuses to invert. This is frustrating because I have been playing for years and am very used to having it inverted. The toggle bar doesn't do anything even though it works for everything else.
