Multiplayer difficulty

I am playing multiplayer and a chat issuse has arised. Me, playing on the version 8 kindle, can see all public player chats. However, Nobody else (on kindle 7 and iOS 6SE) can see my chat messages in game. We have tried conventional methods (reloading world, rejoining) with no success.
