Drift and delay

After installing the 1.18.31 update from the Microsoft Store, I noticed that whenever I; dismounted from elytra flight, dismounted or entered a boat or switched in-game dimensions, for about 10-15 seconds after, there would be a delay of about a third of a second and a drift of about two thirds of a second.

 

Steps to reproduce:

1. Dismount from elytra flight, a boat, or enter/leave the nether or end.
2. Move around or jump

 

Observed results:

When moving left and right using A and D at equal intervals, my in-game character would respond to the input later than expected and for longer than expected.

 

Expected results:

The game should respond according to your input, with no noticeable delay or drifting (granted you have a worked keyboard and mouse.

 

Notes:

• My PC isn't powerful enough to get a decent clip of my encounters with this bug
• I've used 2 different keyboard, both with no issues and both have the same issue
• This ONLY happens on Minecraft
