Crouching and placing blocks on blocks with GUI will open the GUI of the block with the GUI

Whenever I try to place a block on top of a block with GUI it places the block but opens the GUI of the below block... I get fustrated by everytime exiting the GUI when placing slabs on top of hoppers or any other GUI block...

ONLY TESTED WITH COBBELSTONE SLABS AND OTHER VARIENTS
