Cannot operate command block

I cannot operate my command block. I am trying really hard. Here are the preferences I set for the command block.

Command input is set to @s.

Block type: impulse

Condition: conditional

Redstone:  needs redstone.(I put Redstone dust leading to a button that connects to the command block.) I pressed the button, and nothing happens.😥
