No XP received for various actions

Since the latest update I haven’t been getting XP for fishing, harvesting animals, or using the furnaces. I don’t know about XP for mining ores as my game has also started crashing after five minutes of game play and I’m not getting stuck in a mine while this issue is going on. Thank you for your help!
