You can use snow layers to see through opaque blocks
Found while testing MCPE-154945. Very closely relates to its Java Edition equivalent MC-149375.
The bug
The third person camera appears to use snow's collision box rather than its apparent physical size, allowing for X-raying.
As this bug was fixed in Java Edition 1.16, this is a parity issue.
Steps to reproduce
- Place a snow layer
- Enter third person view
- Attempt to position the camera inside of the snow layer
Expected results
The three snow layers would be treated as a cuboid 3/8 of a block tall by the camera and accordingly considered solid.
Actual results
The camera goes inside of the snow layers as if they were never there.
