Minecraft keeps freezing then crashes after loading into game

Saved game in the nether and quit. When I came back in the game later, went back through portal into the overworld and then after a few seconds, the game freezes, moves a frame or two and then crashes and kicks me to the xbox home screen. Downloaded the new patch before playing today
