Minecraft PE 0.15.0 does not start

This weekend I’ve downloaded/purchased Minecraft PE and installed on my son’s tablet. This morning the game would not start.

Hereby a summary:

• SONY tablet S
• OS: android 4.0.3 release 5a
• Minecraft PE v.0.15.0 downloaded /purchased via google store on Sun 12/06/2016.
  -> worked until yesterday evening, this morning it would not start.
  -> Following steps i've undertaken to try to resolve:
  1) clear cash
  2) clear data
  3) uninstall and reinstall
  4) searching for an solution on Minecraft pe support website
  -> Minecraft PE still not working.

Your input/advice is needed to solve this problem.
