Start screen glitch prevents world access

Immediately after installing the last update the start screen (play/settings/store) started sliding to the right when I select a world to play and then glitches back. Then it gets stuck in a loop sliding to the right and back and I have to close the application. I can create a new world and play as long as I never save and quit back to the start screen.

Also the update history says the version is 2.40
