The space provided for the on-screen keyboard does not move down when typing on an external keyboard

The bug 

When typing in chat and using an external keyboard, the space that is provided for the on-screen keyboard isn’t pushed down.

 

1. Open chat
2. type with onscreen keyboard
3. then type with external keyboard
