Amethyst clusters cannot be placed on top slabs or upside down stairs

I'm not sure if something was changed with the recent updates for bug fixes, but I can no longer place amethyst clusters on top slabs or upside down stairs. I play on iOS and my friend plays on the switch, neither of us could place them when we could previously.
