UI buttons don't work and I have to press twice to open it

After a recent update for Minecraft Bedrock for mobile. The UI buttons won't longer function and the scroll menus won't scroll up and down unless I press something twice. This update has introduced another bug and I can't play the game properly if this doesn't get resolved. I'll have to keep pressing buttons twice while wasting time and likely risking myself into making accidents and mistakes for pressing the buttons too much.
