Azalea trees won't become white during snow

Steps to reproduce: 1) Place azalea leaves in snowy biome

                                  2) Change weather to rain/thunder

Observed results: Azalea leaves wont become green like others

Expected results: Azelea & its  flowering variant should become white when snows
