Thorns armor duplication upon death from harming arrows

Equip armor that has at least 3 pieces enchanted with thorns III, or 4 pieces enchanted with thorns II. Which piece of armor is enchanted doesn't seem to matter. Set up a simple bubble column with soul sand, and placing a fence gate at the top, then fire (at least) two arrow of harming 2 at the closed fence gate by looking away then point the charged bow at it. Then, enter the bubble column from underneath and open the fence gate. The player should die shortly after due to the harming arrows. If the chat is spammed with "X died" (where "X" is the playername) then the dupe was done correctly. Return to the spot and it should be overflowing with many copies of the same armor on the ground. In my testing, this dupe only replicates armor enchanted with thorns (at any level) and nothing else.

Sorry if this has already been reported. I searched for similar issues and nothing came up. I wouldn't be surprised if it already had been reported due to it's attention gotten on Youtube.
