Boat disappears after getting out

Since the Cliffs and Caves pt.2 update, every time I get out of a boat, it disappears. It will reappear sometimes if I sleep or if I walk far enough away from it then return, but this doesn't always bring the boat back. Most times, it is just gone and does not reappear.
