Boat dissapeard (bedrock 1.18)

I was boating in survival and saw a nether portal under water and went for it and when I came back to my boat it was gone, I checked my inventory in case it broke but I was nowere to be found. Went into creative to get another boat and continued boating then saw a under water ravine grabbed some iron came back up and the boat dissapeared
