Trying to access hopper minecarts cause inventories to be unresponsive

When I try to access the hopper minecart on my small super smelter it's inventory will not open. After that, any other inventory I try to access will not be pulled up and chests just stay open. Restarting the game fixes it until I try to do it again. Tried reducing graphics and render distance but saw no change. Possibly caused by the 12 other opened hoppers?

 

Replicate:

1. Check regular and chest inventors to make sure they work
2. Try to access hopper minecart
3. Attempt to open inventories/chests again.
