Nether Portal sends me back to wrong location after exiting Nether

I was playing with my friend, and we created a Nether Portal. After we came back from the Nether, it placed us in a completely different location. It placed us underground with a new Portal. We tried destroying the other Portals, but no luck. It keeps placing us in the wrong locations. Me and my friend both use Windows 10.
