End coordinates stopped changing

I was using an elytra in the end on a realm, and the coordinates stopped changing. I couldn't find my way back to land (I was over void) because the game was acting like I wasn't moving even though I definitely was. Or my elytra deactivated without me deactivating it (it didn't break either).
