Changing the weather from rain to clear in creative mode not working

Selecting a weather change (E.g. from Rain to Clear) through the chat menu, while on Creative Mode, sometimes doesn't work.

 

How to reproduce:

1. create a Creative world;
2. Wait to start raining naturally;
3. Try to change the weather through the chat menu;
