Lagging on the nether

Minecraft in general has been lagging since Igot it 11/2021,but is really bad in the nether. It lags when Im mining, in multiplayer too, constantly. It lags for about 2 seconds, the it comes back for about 5 to 8 seconds, then it starts all over again. Why was I charged for an unfinished game?
