Chest and Inventory doesn't open

In my Minecraft word I am not able to open chest nor inventory, I did some experimenting and realized that when I place down a minecart with chest and click on it, it won't open and can't open inventory nor any chest in the world. I got to test world I have and it does work I could open and close the minecart with hopper. I hope this is a common bug with the new update and not a i have to delete my world and make a new one.
