Can't change world type ubication to external

Steps to proceed:

1. Launch Minecraft.
2. Make sure you have no worlds.
3. Change world save type to external

Results:

Will change the external world save file to application.

Please fix it mojang, i wanted to make a map but i got this issue. I tried to change the world type to external but resets it to application. That's why i posted this issue.
