Loss Of Volume glitch 1.18

I was playing Minecraft on my iPad and was slain. I respawned but there was no volume. The sound completely disappeared. This happened to me several times before the latest update. I have the most up to date version of IOS and the recent 1.18. The only way I get around it is by exiting Minecraft and restarting. Thought maybe it might be corrected with 1.18 but it's still happening.
