Menu/update changes does not load

After updating, opening Minecraft, and the game loading, when the panorama appears, nothing else does. The panorama scrolls properly, but nothing else ever appears, meaning I can't play the game. This also only seems to happen when the game is set to use external storage, and since I can't access the settings due to only the panorama appearing, I am forced to uninstall and reinstall the game in order to play it, if it's set to external storage. The screenshot I provided is after approximately 7 minutes of waiting, in hopes of allowing the message for the ingame changelog, or the menu to appear, to no avail.
