Weird glowing when pointed dripstone is in water

There is this weird glowing I found in a small pool of water and there was pointed drip some pointing up in it. In the corner of the pool there was the glow I mentioned. When I removed to dripstone, the glowing stopped. But it came back when I put the dripstone back
