Cannot play multiplayer microsft message

When i log into minecraft i get a message about my microsoft account multiplayer settings being turned off with a link to the minecraft website for solutions to the problem. Non of the solutions helped and i get the same message. I went to my microsoft account but multiplayer settings were already turned on. I can play  multiplayer on pocket addition (which is linked to my Xbox account) but not Xbox. This might've started after my realms subscribtion expired and i hadn't played for over 3 months.
