Mobs Freeze Blocks Away!

What happens is that a friend and I have a survival world where Teleporters are used a lot!
What happens is that when my friend moves too far from me, the mobs near him freeze and do not move or take damage!
We do not know how to solve it and when playing with several players it is very annoying.
