Can’t join Xbox friends and lan games

I can’t join my friends online or join friends with the same wifi basically the friends tab doesn’t work. I checked my Xbox multiplayer settings and everything fine no restrictions. This bug occurred when I downloaded Minecraft for the second time because it worked before. My servers tab works but joining friends through the friends tab and their IP address doesn’t work. But I can play servers.
