Tridents Disappearing on Realm when using iOS version of Minecraft

Having an issue where thrown tridents that are inside a trident killer are disappearing while playing the iOS version of Minecraft on a Realm.  This doesn't happen when playing the Windows 10/11 version of the game.

 

How to reproduce:

Play Minecraft for iOS.

Log into Realm Server.

Throw trident and then walk away from it until you are out of the simulation distance ( 4 chunks on realms). Return back to the spot of the thrown trident and it will have disappeared. I've lost 17 tridents confirming that this happens.

Windows 10 Version: 1.17.41

Minecraft iOS Version: 1.17.41

iPhone Model: iPhone Xs Max

I use a xbox one controller when playing on my phone connected via bluetooth to the phone..

The tridents I lost were inside a trident killer attached to my overworld ticking portal base gold farm. Trident killer was built in the smack dab middle of a chunk (middle 2 x 2 block inside the chunk).

If I do this on my Windows 10 copy of minecraft the trident does not disappear. Only happens when I play on my phone.
