Game crashes when attempting to join realms (in new version 1.17.41)

Full story/description: I found a youtube video that you can join in the realms. then i copied the realm invite code. i opened minecraft, when i am trying to join a realm, the game just crashed. i have no idea. is there any way to fix it?
