Killing yourself with Harming 2 arrows when wearing full thorns 3 armor dupes items

So, this is an incredibly weird bug.
Steps to reproduce:

• Get yourself any armor fully enchanted with thorns 3
• get any bow, even with no enchantments, and a harming 2 or 1 arrow (2 is better cuz it's an instakill.. which it shouldn't be but whatever
• Shoot yourself in your favorite way

Expected results:

• You just die

Observed results:

• You die hundreds of times at once, and for each glitched death, you drop your inventory again, duplicating your items hundreds of times at once.
