Slimes are always spawning every seconds in lush caves even the area is pretty lit up.

I am building my base in a lush cave on a survival world and to prevent hostile mobs for spawning, I torch up the place very well and it worked so far but for one hostile mob, the slime. Slimes are freakingly spawning uncontrollably.
