Minecraft for Windows Not Loading, Flashing Between Blank Red and Black Screens then Crashing

I recently reinstalled Minecraft for Windows after having it uninstalled from my device for a year or so. I tried launching it through the start menu, and it would open to the Mojang Logo, then move to a blank red screen, flashing back and forth between that and a blank black screen every ~10 or so seconds for about 5 minutes, then the app closes out of nowhere. I tried installing the new launcher and launching it from there to the same result. Any ideas? All the solutions i have found either didn't work or didn't apply.
