Painting de spawning

I made a house and I used the painting of 2 players boxing as my TV. And then I was building a statue and I went into my house and my TV was gone. The same issue happened to my friend. We think the paintings de-spawned. I’m not sure if it’s a bug or not but can you fix it anyway? No other player would have stolen our painting as no other player was in the world with us.
