I can't name things with an anvil

Whenever I try to rename an item in an anvil it just comes up with the X as if I haven't renamed the item and as such it doesn't appear in the renamed section of the anvil ui.

I've had to uninstall and reinstall the game and it works but after joining again the bug comes back.

Do keep in mind that I have experienced this bug in a creative world on Realms (specifically realms plus).
