Leaves float in mid air when playing a world on new 1.18 terrain

This bug triggers when a tree is getting cut off by the old generation, then it skaters the leaves in random places on the old generation. Im guessing this was supposed to be attached to the tree in attempt to make chunk blending smoother,but it ended up not working and results to it looking like it is in the photo.
