Boat despawn after dismounting

Whenever I dismount a boat, it disappears. I was told it's there and other players on the realm see it but I don't. I play on the desktop.

Now, the friend who saw that happen who plays on Android experienced the glitch too. She said exiting and reentering the realm helped bring the boat back but I don't think I have the patience to do it when I frequent the ocean biome.
