Villager professions are broken and will path find professions through blocks, glass and closed fence gates

I am in a Minecraft bedrock survival, normal difficulty 2 player realm and when trying to change a villagers profession he will route and become the profession to a workbench far away for him and not the one i place right in front of him and he is over 40 blocks away from the one i didn't place and one i don't want him to route to. He will also try to go to it through blocks and glass pains and closed fence gates to work from this workbench.
