Ice generating in caves

so as i was exploring the new caves, I came across ice in a cave, and i wondered? is that new or a bug (i assume its a bug) so i decided to mine up and see what biome was above and it was a frozen ocean biome, so i assume that some how the game has bugged and the ice has generated inside of the cave, I thought i would let you guys know, thanks - alfie
