World stops updating, causing it to crash, rendering world unusable

I went exploring in my world when suddenly things stopped updating, including chunks not generating, I couldn't shoot arrows from my bow and I couldn't open my inventory. My game crashed so I exit the app and when I tried loading back in it just wouldn't let me
