Died after loading up my world

Last night I went back to my house and saved my game and today when I loaded up I was already dead in my house and all my items despawned. I already had some netherite gear and everything was fully enchanted out. Is there anyway to get any of that back without going into creative mode. This is my first serious world and it’s not a great start to the game.
