Grindstone crafted with smooth stone slab and warped planks, but not overworld planks

Grindstone can be crafted using a smooth stone slab and warped planks, but not with overworld wood. The recipe is supposed to be with a regular stone slab, which works correctly with any kind of wood. I can't imagine that the recipe allowing a smooth slab to be used but only with warped planks is intentional. I haven't tested this with crimson planks
