Dragged Minecraft out of my file explorer to desktop, opened minecraft, got logged out, logged back in, and everything was gone...

I was trying to get Minecraft a Shortcut on my Desktop screen by dragging it out of my file explorer, like I have always done. I had success in making the shortcut, but when I opened it, I got logged out. A bit confused- I logged back in to open my world and found that every single world I had ever made, except my friends realm was deleted. I don't know what I did wrong, but all my skins are gone too. I'm quite confused on what happened so if someone could help me, I'd really appreciate it, as I have spent over 100 hours working on some of the worlds.
